ABOUT US…

Sing Out, Sister! began in April 2022. Directors, Liz and Clare, wanted to create a place for women of all ages to come together and sing songs that you wouldn’t expect a women’s choir to sing. Bored with traditional women’s choir repertoire, Liz and Clare set about seeking out or writing new arrangements of songs they loved to sing… songs by Erasure, Fleetwood Mac, Guns n Roses and Scissor Sisters are amongst many to have received the Sing Out, Sister treatment!

Singing to support wellbeing is at the heart of what we do. Rehearsals are friendly and fun but also provide everyone with the opportunity to improve their singing technique in a relaxed atmosphere. There is no audition and no one is ever asked to sing on their own, unless they want to! Music is taught mostly by ear. Lyrics sheets are provided and sheet music is available to anyone who reads music or who would like to develop their music reading skills. Singing experience isn’t necessary - enthusiasm is the only attribute required!
